Start with the message you want to communicate
Imagine that a friend asks why you are late. Your message is simple: you missed the bus. Start with “I missed the bus.” Then add the result: “So I took an auto.” This is easier to use than translating a long explanation word by word.
Hindi can help you check the idea. “मुझे मदद चाहिए” becomes “I need help.” Practise the complete pattern I need + thing, rather than mapping each Hindi word to an English word. Change the thing: help, water, more time or a ticket.
I need more time to finish this.
मुझे इसे पूरा करने के लिए थोड़ा और समय चाहिए। The sentence names the need and its purpose.
Build three sentences about one real situation
Choose a topic you can describe truthfully: your morning, studies, work or plans. Say what happens, one detail and one reason. Beginners can use three separate sentences. Connecting them is optional.
For example: “I work in a shop. I help customers find clothes. I want to explain the sizes more clearly.” You do not need an impressive job or difficult vocabulary. Your own situation gives you something meaningful to practise.
- Say one thing you do regularly.
- Add where, when or who.
- Explain one reason using because.
Fix the pattern, not every word at once
Common practice targets include “I am hungry”, “I agree” and “I have a question”. Learn the whole sentence in its context. English does not always use the same construction as Hindi.
If a sentence is difficult, check one important point. “Yesterday I went to college” uses went because yesterday is a finished time. Repeat the correction, then change college to work or the market. This checks that you can reuse the pattern.
I agree with you.
Use agree as the verb; do not add am before agree in this sentence.
I have a question about the timetable.
Name the topic so the listener knows what help you need.
Practise a small conversation
Friend: “What do you do?” You: “I work in a shop.” Friend: “What do you like about it?” You: “I like helping customers.” Say both roles first, then answer the second question with your own detail.
Try a short daily cycle: hear or read one example, answer aloud, check one mistake and answer again. You may use a reliable reference or ask Kyra for a simple explanation. AI can make mistakes. There is no fixed number of days that guarantees fluency.
Make it yours
A little practice, right here.
Say your answer aloud or write it below. Try first, then compare an example.
Challenge 50% · Answer fully, then add a reason, time, place or example.
Help language: हिन्दी. English stays the practice language; Kyra can continue with support in your selected language.
1. Say that you need help with a form.
Compare an example
I need help with this form.
I need + help names the need; with this form identifies the task.
A different clear answer can work too. Check the meaning and the pattern.
2. Explain that you were late because you missed the bus.
Compare an example
I was late because I missed the bus.
Was and missed describe completed events; because gives the reason.
A different clear answer can work too. Check the meaning and the pattern.
3. Give three truthful sentences about your routine.
Compare an example
I study commerce. My classes start at nine. I leave early because the bus gets crowded.
This is an example to adapt, not a biography to memorise.
A different clear answer can work too. Check the meaning and the pattern.
Your turn · No sign-in needed
Answer a familiar question, add a reason and ask something back.
Speak aloud or write somewhere private. This page does not record or collect your answer. Progress resets when you leave.
1. Try it in your own words
Answer “What do you usually do in the morning?” in three truthful sentences. End with a question for the other person.
2. Compare one useful change
Compare a worked example
This is a fictional example. Keep your own facts and experience.
First attempt: I go office. Then work. English not coming.
Clearer version: I go to the office at nine. I help customers. What time do you start work?
A time, one clear action and a return question give the other person something to respond to. A short answer can still move the conversation forward.
3. Change the situation
Now imagine the listener asks why. Add one sentence with because without restarting your whole answer.
A clear answer can be different from the example. Use the checks to decide what to improve.
Keep the conversation going

Common questions
Should I stop using Hindi completely?
No. Use Hindi when it helps you understand meaning, then practise producing the English pattern. The useful question is whether you can express your own message clearly.
Do I need a different accent?
Focus first on speech that your listener can understand, useful vocabulary and responding to questions. An unfamiliar accent is not a requirement for communicating clearly.
