Delete your account

You can delete your CoCap account yourself at any time:

1. Open CoCap and go to Settings.
2. Scroll to Account actions and tap Delete my account.
3. Read what it says you will lose, then confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion straight away.

There is nothing to cancel first. CoCap is free, there is no subscription and no in-app purchase, so deleting your account does not leave a payment running anywhere.

Can't sign in? Email hello@cocap.in from the address on your account, or with your registered phone number, and ask us to delete it. We'll verify it's you and act within 30 days.

Deleting your account removes your profile (name, photo, city, email), your phone number, your practice history, your voice clips, your saved words, everything Kaira remembers about you, and your CapCoins, streak and CEFR level. If you use the Android app, the notification token for your phone goes too.

Grace period: for 30 days after you request deletion your account is deactivated but recoverable. Open Settings and tap “Keep it”, or email us. After 30 days it is permanently erased.

What we may keep: minimal records we are legally required to retain, kept only as long as the law requires and never used to contact you. CoCap takes no payments, so there are no invoices or billing records in that set.

You don't have to close your account to remove something. Each of these you can delete yourself, one at a time, and it is gone for good:

• Voice recordings — Speak for a Minute, under “Your voice — then vs now”. Tap 🗑️ on any clip.
• Saved words — your Vocabulary deck.

You can also take a copy of everything before you go: Settings → Account → “Download my data” exports the lot as a JSON file.

For anything else — a particular chat with Kaira, or any other data we hold about you — email hello@cocap.in and we'll remove it within 30 days. Your account stays open.
